FIAM Ghost 30th charity dinner – A new school for Cascia

On June 15th, the enchanting Villa Miralfiore just off Pesaro, headquarters of Fiam’s glass museum, has been the theater for an important charity dinner hosted by Fiam, Biesse Group and Fondazione Mediolanum in order to help Fondazione Rava N.P.H. Italia Onlus in the reconstruction project of the middle school in Cascia, one of the areas in Central Italy that’s been affected by the earthquake back in October 2016.

The project was born given the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the Ghost chair, introduced at the Furniture Fair in Milan in 1987, as a mean to translate into actions Fiam’s deep attachment to its roots.

Many have been the Partnes and Guests who took part to the dinner, such as the Minister for Foreign Affairs Angelino Alfano and actress Martina Colombari, for years a volunteer and ambassador at Fondazione Francesca Rava N.P.H. Italia Onlus. Such important characters have actively contributed to the fundraiser, that has successfully raised over 70.000 €. The total amount will be fully devoted to an initative that will soon allow the children of Cascia to regularly resume their studies in a new school.

The fundraiser continues with the charity auction of the Mini Ghost chairs, exclusively decorated by the internationally renowed designers that over the years have worked alongside Fiam Italia. www.charitystars.com/minighost
