Veblen Salone del Mobile 2017

NOVEL CONTRASTS AND BRAND NEW COMBINATIONS FOR TOTAL LIVING BY VEBLÉN
designed by Dainellistudio

With the 56th edition of the Salone Internazionale del Mobile, Veblén has evolved and been transformed with a collection designed to incorporate the brand’s unique style into all household furnishings. The Luxury Edition designed by Marzia and Leo Dainelli has evolved with novel contrasts in colour and material and brand new combinations, pursuing the concept of total living that has been its hallmark from the very beginning.

In this new collection, glass, which has always been the common thread throughout the brand, makes way for combinations of top quality materials, such as wood, leather and fabric in bright colours and dark finishes, together with articles making their debut for the first time in the company’s history.

The result is a well-balanced furnishing collection focused on celebrating design and luxury in everyday life: top quality leather is cleverly combined with highly prized wood and first class fabrics, which are enhanced by buttoned work, in a triumph of elegance and intricacy.

A total living collection, designed again this year by Dainellistudio, which introduces sofas, armchairs and ottomans with wood frames and unusual covers, like the Belle armchair in fabric and buttoned leather and the Bold series consisting of a roomy sofa and ottoman with a retro look, reflecting the almost regal mood of the collection, which always takes its inspiration from the origins of the home of Veblén: Villa Miralfiore.

The Duccio sideboard, covered in buttoned leather, has an elegant frame in lacquered wood which gives it the allure of superior furnishing and the shape, solidity and quality of bygone days. The theme of contrasts is continued with the series of Metropolitan tables, featuring leather-covered wood frames and smoked glass tops, epitomising the very essence of Veblén.

As if coming full circle to return to its origins, the collection is completed by the Miracle showcase and sideboard, designed by Olga Stupenko, made entirely of bronze glass, set off by dark contrasts, in true Art Decò style.

Although it has evolved, Veblén still confirms its identity as a luxury line for those who understand and embrace the rules of prestige, a history to make one’s own with the pleasure of feeling like part of it and seeing the desire of being unique come true.
